What drives people away from SF battalions?

I’ve been noticing lately that fewer people seem interested in joining SF battalions. Rancor looks fine right now, but not too long ago they were dealing with the same kind of drop RC is going through, and at the moment RC is down to just four members. On top of that, overall activity feels lower, and I’ve had a few people just say no to joining without really explaining why. It’s been on my mind, so I figured I’d bring it up.

I’m honestly not sure what’s behind it, so I wanted to ask. Do people feel like it’s too serious, or maybe not serious enough? Is the responsibility just not appealing, or is something else pushing people away? It could be burnout, people losing interest, or maybe there just isn’t much reason to join right now. I don't want to assume, so I’d like to hear what you all think is going on and how we could improve it.

Personally SF major thing is doing SF related stuff including hacking however when on/off maps happens there is times that just don't happen. So that is one of the many issues that SF have.

Personally as someone who's joined SF way too much and will most likely keep joining SF, unless your maining a SF battalion, espescially as a Command member Its just hard following SF quota, Unless its been lowered I'm not going too stress myself with way to large of quotas again lol, i'd try too advertise SF more too the newer players though

Personally, the main reason I haven't joined an SF branch before is the serious side of it. SF has an aura of "buckle down and we are in it" and they are meant to be the turbo elite skilled people. I am not good at shooter games so that also has a big part in it but, personally, I'm just around for the vibes. I love the people who I've interacted in SF before but personally the mission side of the serious RP isn't for me. I am the definition of "semi-serious."

The main way I'd get into SF, or at least if I was actively trying to, is though regimental arc personally and that is about as close as I'd get to it.

Not going to lie, I dont think there is any problem with SF right now and I don't feel like anyone is being driven away. There are actually a decent amount of people still in SF, 15 people in rancor, 6 in RC and 9 Regi arc. Every battalion has ebbs and flows. SF is a bit more serious but there quota isnt any harder (in RC case its easier) then some battalions like 212th. Only certain type of players join spec opss batts but even with that they seem pretty healthy to me.

From my perspective when I first joined Rancor back in November, I felt intimidated, because I came from a server where SF was this entirely different ballgame so to speak compared to the usual battalions, where you were expected to take things much more seriously and the most minor mistakes where scrutinized, and I didn't know until after I joined that the people in SF here were just as chill as the rest of the people on the server, and they accepted me with open arms. I think for new people some of them have a similar perspective of SF from other servers. That's my take on it.

Personally SF is just not for everyone. Some people just wwanna play as grunt with gun and boomstick or drive funny tanks around or fly over the battlefield. Special operations is something specific and the problem in my opinion is that due to us having alot of different regiments there can never be a space where SF can do their ful lthing unless it is an SF only mission because they usually go behind enemy lines sabotage stuff cut off supplies, retrieve intel or VIPs etc... And since we mostly are on the frontlines you will only see limited usage of SF which makes it more entertaining for some to join a more frontline combat orientatet regiment.

Also I have 3.5K hours in this game and i still suck at PVP and just general combat thats another downer for me. But that is completely due to my lack of skill.
