Suggestion Description:
1, Removal of the 501st DP24 permanently and addition of 501st DC15A: Remove the 501st DP-24 (rw_sw_dp24_501st) completely from all 501st jobs and in place add a new custom weapon being a 501st DC15A in place for more lore accuracy and damage in frontline combat, adding that new custom weapon to most of the 501st jobs
2, addition of Thermal Grenades to Enlisted+ Jobs: add the thermal grenades to the 501st Enlisted, NCO and Officer jobs for frontline combat, breach n clear, CQC situations and more lore accuracy.
3, Removing/Archiving 332nd Job for now and having 501st ARC spawn the AT-PT: Remove the 332nd Job to Archive it for now until 501st numbers rise/are enough for 2 main sub units and until other units numbers are raised due to our current low number count currently. Ontop of that ARC will have the ability to spawn the AT-PT to hold onto for now so we dont lose the AT-PT.
4, Reworking Torrent company to be a more Heavy Defensive Demolition Unit/a bit more lore accurate with additions of the Clone Minigun/Shoulder Chaingun and dual DC15s: Reworking torrent Company to a more Heavy Defense/Demolition Unit while being slightly more lore accurate, starting with the Clone Minigun aka the Shoulder Mounted Chain gun and dual DC15s while also giving them the 501st DC15a, though due to the chain gun the Torrent T-21 will be removed from the torrent company jobs for now. Ontop of that Torrent Company Lore character Jobs will also be reworked with some of these guns and also given Tup their DC15s and police shield.
5, Remove the Torrent T-21 from torrent and give it to Officer+ and 501st ARC: Like i said above, remove the Torrent T-21 from the torrent company jobs due to the chaingun if added but give it to 501st ARC and Torrent Jobs to hold onto until we get another unit added to 501st (most likely 332nd).

Why add this?:
501st DP-24 Removal/501st DC15a addition Reasoning: Reason we are getting rid of the 501st DP-24 completely and replace it with a new custom weapon being the 501st DC15a, is cause 1 doesn't really make sense to have two rifles even though the DP-24 is more of an SMG, and 2 cause by NCO you get a CQC type weapon already which CQC is one of the side stuff 501st does which being the regular DP-23 shotgun so again we don't really need 2 CQC weapons by the time ya get to NCO, and 3 because makes more sense for an attack battalion to have a custom rifle aka a custom DC15a which is one the main weapons that attack battalions tend to use and in lore 501st uses those more then the DP-24. And with the stats on the 501st DC15a it suppose to do more damage then the regular DC15a with less capacity/magazine ammo and a bit less of a fire rate, fitting the role of a main rifle that does a lot of damage for an attack battalion, especially for the best of the best being 501st in lore, plus being the more popular weapon it makes sense to have that over a custom DP-24.
Thermal Grenades Addition Reasoning to Enlisted, NCO and Officer Jobs: Reason why we wanna do this is because is to be a bit more unique and also have a weapon/grenade to assist with breach n clearing and for frontline uses, especially when there's tons of enemies where we need to clear them out quick. And in lore 501st have used grenades, especially thermal grenades. For anyone thats worried about enlisted having grenades, dont worry because 1 the thermal grenades are kinda bad and kinda hard to aim really since they do roll, and 2 rules will be given for this and a new sub page/section in the 501st handbook for how the thermals will be used/functioned in 501st, any mis use of the grenades will be first dealt with a warning then a strike depending. Other than that thermal grenades would be very beneficial for 501st for both breach n clear and frontline combat purposes and are perfect for an attack battalion such as 501st, plus would make use stand out a bit more.
Removing/Archiving 332nd Job/AT-PT to 501st ARC Reasoning: now before anyone is like “your removing another sub unit again?”, no, we are not necessarily removing a sub unit. We are removing/archiving the 332nd job for now until we get more numbers in for 501st and our other units including ARC and pilots. The main reason is because we dont have the numbers to both focus on two main sub units and two regimental units, with all of our units very low in numbers and ontop of that 501st being really low on numbers. However, the 332nd siege unit is something we do wanna have as a unit permanently so we are removing/archiving the job for now instead so when we get more numbers we will bring it back and rework it a bit if need be. As for 501st ARC spawning the AT-PT, its more for them to hold onto until we get 332nd back or give to another unit, though it makes sense for 501ts’s ARC Troopers to have the attack vehicle 501st controls so it should be fine for them to spawn it as well for now.
Torrent Company Rework Reasoning: Reason is cause compared to other units torrent is kind of basic even though there is a few unique stuff in it like 4 lore characters (very well known ones) a commando pistol side arm, the police shield and maybe some other stuff i may have not counted. But its not appealing currently compared to other units, considering many units have stronger or cooler guns or better explosives or because too many units have explosives/detpacks, torrent only has very few stuff that is unique and don't really stand out much. Plus with 332nd being archived we need a heavy unit for heavy combat purposes. So after scrolling through our addons and stuff we have on the server, we decided to go for the clone minigun aka the Shoulder Mounted Chain gun. Its kind of like the Z6 but slightly different stats, if it gets added i plan to adjust the stats so it stands out way more but reason we chose that weapon is cause NO ONE, and i mean no one has it at all, no one has this weapon or ever used it in a sub unit on this server, and its pretty cool/fun one as well and would fit torrent company because they are more about causing havoc and mowing down droids and have used heavy weaponry so it makes sense and would be good for them to have it. Though the chain gun combined with the torrent T-21 is too op, so we decided to also remove the torrent T-21 from the torrent company jobs and in place give them the 501st DC15a, mainly because they need some sort of light like rifle in place of the T-21 and in lore Torrent Company has used the DC15a so it makes sense for them to have it. As for the dual DC15s also because torrent has used the regular DC15s and i believe they can definitely be dual wielded, even one handed and i definitely think in lore the clones definitely would have dual wielded this weapon due to it being more light compared to the DC15a. Plus again no one has the dual DC15s and would fit both torrents new heavy weaponry description and are known for the more unorthodox methods and are weapon/combat crazy, plus Torrent will be more of our Heavy Demolitionist unit ontop of possible our more Elite Combat unit with having many different weapons intended for combat and mowing down clankers, and for the heavy defensive thing mainly because with the Chain gun and police shield it would be perfect for holding position and laying down coverfire. As for the lore characters only ones not getting the chain gun is heavy and tup and tup aint getting the 501st DC15a or dual DC15s as well, reason for tup is cause they already have an OP sniper and don't need the dual DC15s or the DC15a, though they do need some sort of rifle so they will get the more lore accurate one they had being the DC15s, they also would get the police shield cause they are the only one with no shield and definitely would need cover for sniper purposes so we wanna give them the police shield. As for hardcase, the Z6 is his thing and he doesn't need two heavy weapons, though he will get the dual DC15s and DC15A Rifle. Overall these changes would definitely be beneficial for torrent to be a more Heavy Defensive/Demolitionist unit and a bit more lore accurate to stand out and hopefully gain more attraction and stand out alongside all the other battalions units.
Torrent T-21 Removal From Torrent/Added to 501st ARC/Officer’s reasoning: Reason why is cause well, like i said above the Torrent T-21 with the Chaingun and dual DC15s would be too op so they are being removed from the torrent jobs. Though its a decent weapon and we dont wanna lose it for good so we are giving it to ARC and Officer+ to hold onto for now until we can give it to another unit, most likely 332nd.

Main Reason Torrent Rework, Thermal Grenades and Custom Weapon Changes:
The main reason for the reworking Torrent Company and 501st DC15A and thermal grenades added to Enlisted+ jobs is because……501st it too generic/basic compared to other battalions.
Before anyone says we aren't basic or generic, we have done a questionnaire last year around december and/or in november, and the main thing that popped up is us being generic/basic compared to other battalions and the defensive doesn't stand out and isn't appealing to new CT’s.
Here’s some examples (Note these are just examples and are not meant to offend anyone): “501st CQC, a lot of people can do that. Breach N clear, a lot of people can do that. Frontline Combat, everyone's on the frontlines and cannot be forced. Defensive, a lot of people could kind of do that. Shields, either have a shield and stand by or have a lightsaber that doesn't only reflect but slices stuff up and has force abilities that can jump high, heal, invisible etc. Detpacks, a lot of people can do it. Anti Armor, again…lots of units do that.”
And i apologize if i offended any battalion, im not pointing figures or blaming anyone, this just happened kind of naturally and tbh all battalions seem/look so much cooler then 501st, like for example, 41st does cool scouting and sniper, that's pretty sick, and 21st are not only marines but also handle biohazards and flame throwers, naval is passive rp, shock are the literal police handle police rp and arrests and interrogation etc, Rancor and RC are SF, Jedi are fantastic and do defense stuff better/cooler then we do, 212th are our cool 7sc older brothers that are airborne and EMP grenades, and 104th has engineer RP and vehicles meaning anti armor and dont forget EOD, and Medical is well, its medical, who doesnt love medical rp? I definitely do love it. And pyke is pyke being criminals, who doesnt love crime?
The point is compared to all of these amazing battalions, 501st, the well known legion and popular one, is basic and not as amazing as these battalions, not even equaled to them at all and some stuff we have, they can do it better and we do not feel unique at all. Plus it feels more like we lost our identity ontop of that and are dying because of it.
So with these changes, we plan to not only try to be more lore accurate and stand out but eventually one day, hopefully soon, throw out the defensive trait out the window from 501st, get rid of the shields on all jobs except on torrent company and the bubble shields and be a more Offensive Elite infantry battalion, cause 501st is about the offense, not the damn defense and it sounds more appealing.
So with the thermals and DC15a’s and Heavy unit rework for torrent, that is all leading to us being more Elite Infantry one day, cause the elite infantry definitely has explosives, definitely has heavy units and definitely has rifles that pack hell of a punch. Plus compare that with Defensive Battalion, which sounds more appealing? To new CT’s that just wanna shoot and mow down clankers and love the offensive look of 501st, that sounds more appealing then standing behind a shield and defense.
Overall with these changes and updates, this would be the first step to not only be more appealing but also to a more Elite Infantry battalion and hopefully lose the Defensive Battalion name permanently and finally stand out and be as unique as other battalions and not being so basic and generic.
And if anybody asks “will this fix recruitment?” probably not but thats a different issue then this one and is being worked on as well, hopefully this can help out with it slightly.
But yeah these changes/updates would definitely help 501st out and be good for us.
