What is your activity like throughout the week?
I can be on nearly everyday.
Why should you be given a chance to join Junior Management?
I believe I should be given a chance because I’ve demonstrated strong leadership within the community and a willingness to take initiative when needed. While a staff member, I’ve shown that I can make fair, level-headed decisions and the ability support others. I’m hoping if given the opportunity I could contribute more to the server.
Provide three strengths that you posses which you’d bring to JMT which you’d use to benefit the Staff Team
One of my key strengths is that I am not attached to my own ideas. If someone has a better or more effective approach, I am open to listening and adapting, without getting frustrated or letting my ego get in the way. I value what is best for the community above being right. My second strength is my ability to make difficult decisions when needed. I don’t shy away from choices that may be unpopular, as long as I believe they are in the best interest of the server. I am able to remain calm, fair, and objective when handling sensitive situations. Finally, I bring experience. With my nearly 5,000 hours in gmod around 3,000 of have been spent in management or staffing role, I have a strong understanding of what effective staffing looks like. Throughout that time, I have always done my best to keep my standards high and pass those standards on to the people I have led.
As a Superadmin if you see a Staff Member overusing curse words, being aggressive and overall providing subpar assistance, how would you go about dealing with that situation?
I would address the problem with the staff member and coach them on the correct way to provide assistance, that being an objective, unbiased, and fair set of ears set out to solve problems not add to them. I would also remind them that the attitude they displayed not only looks bad on them but It reflect poorly on the staff team. If they continue acting poorly I would address it with other members of management and come up with another solution weather that be a strike or other sort of punishment.
What do you believe makes a quality Staff Member?
I believe that a quality staff member is a community member who displays strong leadership principles while also being objective and unbiased. They can take constructive feedback and apply it; their main goal is to ensure that the community is a place players want to keep coming back to.
As a Superadmin you’ll have the responsibility of handing out punishments possibly resulting in backlash, would you be able to handle said responsibility?
Yes, I would be able to handle this responsibility. As a member of management on other servers I have had to do this a number of times.
