Suggestion Description:

Rework of Entire Naval for Simplicity and Efficiency

1. Removal of 5th Fleet Sub-Battalion

  • The 5th Fleet sub-battalion is currently underutilized (only one member active).

  • Proposal to fully remove the 5th Fleet job and integrate its duties directly into the main Naval battalion.

2. Naval NCO+ as Reserve Shock Force

  • Equip Naval NCOs, Officers, Captains, and Commodore with Shock Batons.

  • Naval NCO+ members will act as a Reserve Shock system during events.

  • 5th Fleet arrest and restraint rules will be incorporated into NCO/Officer guidelines to ensure proper protocol adherence.

3. Arrest and Restraint Authority

  • Naval Officers will receive Elastic Restraints, matching those currently held by Naval Captains and Commodore.

  • Naval Regiment will maintain the 5th Fleet’s restriction as a Reserve Police force.

  • Authorized to arrest trespassers in secured areas guarded by Naval, including:

    • Command Center

    • Naval Bunks

    • High Command Bunks

    • Reactor (especially when under Naval guard)

  • Shock units have priority on arrests unless unavailable or Naval is specifically called.

4. Rework Gunnery Officer Role to Naval Ground Armor (NGA)

  • Gunnery Officer role currently inactive; no members assigned.

  • TRANSFORM the Gunnery Officer sub-battalion into the Naval Ground Armor (NGA) role accessible to all Naval personnel.

  • NGA maintains access to the F4 menu, including Turrets and Drones (with existing Gunnery Officer rules transferred).

  • NGA will receive an F-187 Fusion Cutter to assist the 104th in repairing ground vehicles during events, supporting vehicle use and maintenance.

  • NGA role will be predominantly active only during Random, On-Map, and Off-Map events.

  • Aviation members may choose between Aviation or Naval Ground Armor roles.

  • Slots increased from 5 to 10 to accommodate growing participation.

5. Aviation Officer Slot Expansion

  • Increase Aviation Officer slots from 5 to 10.

  • Ensures continued availability of pilots following the removal of 5th Fleet and Gunnery Officer roles.

6. Updated Models for Naval Roles

  • Add new battle-ready armor models for Naval Enlisted, NCO, Officer, and Naval Ground Armor:

- Support To Naval Reserve police force

I do not like the idea of a whole battalion as a reserve police force as this doesn't seem necessary. Shock have been struggling a lot the past few months maintaining activity and member count and only just have started to climb out of this, I feel that this would effect them negatively as shocks main purpose and focus is policing and transferring a whole battalion into a reserve police force will cause some instances of people over stepping boundaries. I understand rules will be in place but this doesn't prevent nor guarantee that problems will occur and potentially cause animosity between Naval and Shock

+ Support to the Aviation and Gunnery / NGA Along with Misc changes

The Aviation and Gunnery changes seem sound and decent ideas aviation was already a great sub bat and doing incredibly well before hand and adding some more slots due to 5th fleets removal makes some sense. The NGA Seems an interesting change acting as a support unit to support Vehicle operators to maintain the vehicles and keeping them in working order while not massively stepping on any of their feet more people to fix the tanks means they stay alive longer so makes sense to me.

Additional Comments/Ideas


Now with the removal of 5th fleet instead of turning the whole battalion into a reserve police force i think this could have been approached in one of two ways:

1 - Being to simply merge 5th fleet into naval Aviation renaming the group into 5th Fleet Aviation Corps having the roles and responsibilities the two of them already had.

2 - Double down on the justice for 5th fleet. Now I know the Judge advocate corps has been sat their as an unused idea so potentially bring that in as a part of 5th fleet giving them this new RP aspect for them to do as I know some shock members have been eagerly awaiting their arrival, or at least where, as this helps both battalions bring in some more RP for example court cases and warrants, while preventing any toe stepping and animosity between shock and naval. This would bring this sub unit that has been sat on the shelf collecting dust into the lime light and give it some much needed attention while giving 5th fleet a new RP Aspect as a problem with 5th fleet is it has nothing working for it.

Overall this is a clear +support but as commander of Shock I have to agree with Benji. I do not think NCO+ should become a reserve Police Force. It would empower them to act like Shock and skip the part of having to go through our training. We designed our training to filter minges and MRDA minges as good as possible with a different option that open this cannot be secured anymore!

All the changes here sound good and will add more opportunities for navel to do more things during events that isn't just passive RP and hopefully get some interest in the battalion, the only thing I'm against as everyone else has mentioned is making NCO+ a reserve police force, although it would be nice as if no shock is on they can act as shock i feel as if it just steps on shocks toes a bit to much and is a way for minges to avoid shock tryouts completely, yes there is a way round this if you made shock tryouts apart of the nco training but i feel as if that would just make things way more complicated, i feel that if you did a change for 5th fleet like benji mentioned that'd be a better outcome for 5th fleet and wouldn't step on shock as much
