From my perspective, I’ve heard far worse things said on the server, and while the comment made here was wrong and does deserve punishment, I don’t believe a full 1-week ban is appropriate. A shorter punishment such as a day or two would’ve gotten the point across without being excessive.

I also want to note that bringing up Mango’s profile picture as justification isn’t a good defense, but I don’t think it should factor heavily into this case either. Many people on the server use profile pictures that are borderline NSFW, and staff generally overlook them unless they become a serious issue.

Saying a racial slur by accident in a none hateful way doesn't warrant a ban by any means, It's about context surely? If it was used to target someone and hurt them then yea fair but otherwise being like yea don't do that would suffice.

Although bringing up another member of the community's profile as a reason you should be unbanned doesn't make what you did okay it's just shifting attention not defending yourself.

From my time with talking to both Micah and Caleb which they are brothers, they are both very kinda and respectful. I think like resin at most a 1 day or 2 day ban but I personally would’ve gone for a full warn or a verbal as Micah is young and this is his first offense, now I can see both sides I can see ehy he put Mangos profile picture linked to it, but I can also see how it could be see as deflecting, but literally on the map we were conducting this off map on there was a picture of a certain guy, which management went through and put a perma prop over clearly being like “this is not ok” I think what Micah wants is for it to be fair rather than one sided.
