Why do you wish to apply for the Gamemaster position?

I wish to apply for Gamemaster because I want to help the server and bring in my event ideas. I have been a GM on this server before and I know how much is possible as a GM to let the players have fun and diversity in their gameplay. Furthermore I have lots of ideas already and am willing to share those and set them up for the players to enjoy. I also want to bring more unique and exotic events back to the server.

What sets you apart from the other applicants?

A strength of mine is that I am active and always try to host something for the players that is new and creative. I have worked as a GM before on this server and am very familiar with all the tools and basics. Additionally another factor is my Timezone, I live in europe and are therefore more active in the earlier hours of game time unless it is the weekends ofcourse. I also love incorporating feedback by the players. If they did not like something I would ask them how they thought it could have been better or search for a better alternativ on my own.

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your creativity?

8/10 (Creative but could use a bit of Improvement still)

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your knowledge of the lore?

8/10 (Know most of the lore except for maybe some differences in legends and canon)

Provide an example of an event you can create.

Required ECs: 2-3 (The missing patrol and maybe a commando droid)
Required GMs: 1-2 (Someone to help get a clear view on the current situation)

The event will be an on-map event. In the mission briefing, players will receive a short introduction to the mission and its objective. Their task will be to investigate a missing patrol near Sector 2. Once they locate the missing patrol, a short combat phase will occur between them and a group of droids. After defeating the droids, they will need to search the area for the missing patrol. However, they will not find the patrol—only a clue on a datapad.

The datapad will reveal that the "subjects" are being transported to a hidden landing platform near the Sector 2 base, where a blockade runner is scheduled to extract them for further use. If the players find the location quickly enough and successfully ambush the droid convoy transporting the patrol, they will launch an all-out offensive on the landing bay with orbital support to eliminate any remaining CIS presence on the planet.

However, if they fail to intercept or ambush the convoy in time, they will be forced to launch an all-out assault on the base without orbital support and at risk of encountering enemy air support. If the timer runs out before the players clear the enemy base, the storyline could continue with the patrol being abducted and taken to another planet. If they succeed, the storyline could continue with Republic intelligence officers analyzing data from the base and tracing its origin to a different planet.

Do you understand that abuse of power will result in your removal and blacklist?

I understand that abuse of power would result in my removal from the GM team and would result in a blacklist.

What is your prior experience with gamemastering or similar roles?

As said before I have been a GM on this server before having the rank of GMIII. I hosted regular daily events and made them as creative as possible mostly keeping it to On-Map events as the map is pretty big and the simulation rooms can also be used for events which many seem to forget. Furthermore I have been a GM on a German Serious clone wars RP server and created event on that server. The events on the german server sometimes even lasted up to an hour.

How do you handle conflict and difficult situations?

If there is a conflict between people, the best way I try to handle it is by staying calm, listening to all sides of the argument, and working to logically resolve the issue at hand. In difficult situations, the most important thing for me is to not give up and to always give my best, while remaining confident, calm, and collected.

What are your preferred event genres or themes?

I love incorporating combat with roleplay and searching. In my events, players are usually on a hunt or search for something and must use their roleplay knowledge and skills to find it, with clues spread throughout the mission zone. I enjoy mixing in combat to keep players engaged and prevent boredom during slower, intermission phases.

Combat is also something everyone can participate in, unlike roleplay, which often requires specific regiments or roles to work effectively.

Is there anything else you wish to add?

Although I’ve only recently returned to playing, I would be grateful for the opportunity to prove myself again as a Game Master. I’m eager to contribute and bring engaging events to the community.
