Why do you wish to become a 2LT?: I have many goals in this battalion. I want to make changes for the better. I love this battalion and have a lot of passion for it. I want to move up so I can continue to show my passion to its fullest.

What makes you qualified to become a 2LT over other candidates?: I have actual leadership experience. In and out of RP. I have taken roles above my given responsibility, never demanding for anything more, because I put in the effort I want to see in others. If a lower enlisted sees a SGT take lead where no one else will, it brings out the best in them. And I want the best out of my people. The only true advantage I see in higher rank to me is a broader reach to my battalion. I take pride in every person that surrounds me and I want to bring the best out of the best. Its how I lead as an NCO and it is how I will continue to lead as an officer if given the oppritunity.

What is the job of a 2LT in the Battalion?: Learn from the officers above and support the soliders below. It's as simple as that. A 2LT's job is to start their progression as a leader. The ratio of learning to leading shifts with every rise of rank. And a 2LT is the beginning and probably the most crucial step in that climb. The lessons you learn as a 2LT stay with you until the end.

Why should you be trusted with 2LT?: I am a proven leader and dedicated soldier. Even with my time restraints I make every attempt to be on and active. I lead in places where others may take a step back and let someone else take the reins. I will always throw myself at an opportunity to take lead or learn something new. I am capable of what it takes to be an officer and I would love the opportunity to prove myself even further. And should this application be denied, I will still continue to prove myself as a loyal dedicated NCO and leader.
