1. In-Game Name
Caleb
2. Server / Staff Rank:
SGM
3. Why would you like to become a Gamemaster Coordinator?
My main goal in becoming a GMC is to help. When I became a GM the main thing I wanted to do was assist people in any way I could. Such as aiding in events, encouraging RP and walking people through trainings so they feel confident in their events. I believe I've already made good progress toward those goals during my time as a GM and now as an SGM, and becoming a GMC would allow me to take those goals further and support the GM team at a larger level.
4. If accepted the position, what can you bring to the table as a Gamemaster Coordinator?
A big focus of mine as an SGM, has been obtaining a higher quality of mentorship for the TGMs through more expansive training, better concepts for events, and all around a push for myself to be the best possible asset for our new GMs. I want to bring that level of care and oversight in the TGM process to the rest of the SGMs and also build on our GMs as a whole to be more capable with the experiences they bring to the players. In addition to my large focus on the mentorship program, I have a strong interest in building for events and other activities I host. I use the builds I make to further the RP of my activities to better engage players. I hope my experience with building will help other GMs in a way to make their own events more engaging and bring the overall player experience to a new level.
5. If you see anyone using their powers off duty as in spawning stuff, freezing people, or arresting people (the job doesn’t come with an arrest stick) how would you respond if it was the first time?
I would first pull the GM aside and explain the rules we have in place, ensuring that they understand. Depending on the severity I would either provide them with a warning or strike them, if the situation calls for it. I would be sure to bring the scenario up to the other GMCs, and if it is a scenario requiring a strike, discuss the scenario with the other GMCs to ensure we are all in agreement.
5a. From the previous question, what if the same stuff happened multiple times in the past, how would you proceed?
If the initial offense already warranted a strike, and they continued the same behavior it would result in another strike, or removal from the GM team if the actions are severe enough. If the initial offense only resulted in a warning, it would call for a strike. In both cases, I would be sure to discuss the punishment with the other GMCs.
6. A Gamemaster is having a crappy event, What would you do and say??
I would join the Event Chat they are in and provide immediate feedback and perspective on how the event is coming across from the players' point of view. I would offer a few ideas that could help drive the event forward in a more positive direction. If the event continues to struggle and the player experience remains low, I would step in to assist the GM more directly and help guide the event to a more positive point.
7. Any warnings? (Staff/GM/Server Strikes)
None
