This new TX-130 would be more capable and able to handle situations better than the current one with increased speed and additional fire modes than presently on the server. Why add and not replace? It has more destructive ability, higher speed, and takes more finesse to use. The rockets on this one are only forward firing so they can't be used in just any situation. The Blaster Cannons are not able to move as much so turning the vehicle would be necessary more often. It is also slightly larger. The one we currently have is a good starter vehicle for Enlisted but also lacks any real ability to fight anything in a head on confrontation alone. This new one is also just better quality for its appearance. The current one is also the smallest vehicle available to 104th so it works on the most map so it wouldn't really be ideal to get rid of it.
Adding keys to 104th jobs would allow for us to dismount when necessary and lock the vehicles we use. So minges cant highjack them when we aren't looking. It would also allow us to participate in areas of an event where we have to go on foot temporarily without risking just anyone without authorization from operating them when they shouldn't be.
The TX-130 Would be a cool addition bringing the vehicle to a level that feels on par with the AAT. It also has some cool little features like openable doors 3 or 4 firing modes and an openable back door along with prop parts so it can be placed into the vehicle bay as if 104th are running maintenance on some. I know it likely will be edited by management to be more balanced against the CIS but it would bring a better balance to them.
They keys would be cool and help with the problem of vehicle theft.
My concerns/Thoughts
I personally think the keys should be put onto any job that can spawn vehicles to ensure the problem of vehicle theft is stopped across the board definitely will bring this up with gramps if it gets added. My only real thought is if someone else has these keys can they unlock the vehicle and take it or does it have to be the person who locked it needs to unlock it.
-Support on the Vehicle, we already have a TX-130 and a TX-427 that can be used, I'd Say remove the old TX-130 to be able to get another, Also adding a 106 MB addon for one Vehicle is crazy.
+Support on the Keys, Besides the fact this can be easily abused by say a new pvt in 104th and can lock other players vehicles, Like 41st, Shock, 212th Vehicles etc,
Also I think if this would be added Shock NCO+ Should get the Keys in the case a 104th is abusing and shock need to deal with it, Same goes for every sub unit and battalion with Vehicles.
As far as the tank goes suggesting adding it was decided as a group. Not that we don't get the perspective, but we felt it was the safer and preferable option from our perspective/position to be added and not replaced because as it stands 104th Enlisted can spawn the current TX-130 the new one would be a bit to powerful to want them to have it. We like them to have something just not something potentially on the level of a AAT which serves as a good learning curve. We aren't opposed to it being replaced but this is what we decided that we would attempt to move forward with even if replacing is the only permitted option in the end. But that would likely require a new suggestion because new details would need to be decided. And the replacement would require manual location of all relevant files as its part of the LVS Star Wars addon which is locally on the server be it for deletion or archival for later use (whatever they'd do with it). Also would not likely be much benefit (space wise) in removing it.
And for the keys, yah someone could abuse it but that is a possibility with any new addon or change to functionality. And enlisted have always been able to spawn the tx-130 so there has always been danger in that but no catastrophic events have happened to warrant having it otherwise. We make sure we train upon recruitment and it would be same with keys, training upon joining and failure to follow guidelines would be abuse of equipment and breaking whatever other rules it falls under. The keys also make it so that vehicles locked by them can't be undo by someone else with keys as it also has an ownership function relevant to the keys when used on a vehicle. So while having the other jobs with vehicles getting them makes sense, there would be no decent reason to give them to shock NCOs and would just increase risk for abuse rather than serve a valid purpose.
If you think the enemy is still alive just keep firing.
We will be accepting the keys and putting them on all 104th jobs. Ensure new Enlisted do not abuse the keys and lock other people's vehicles or we will remove it from Enlisted and possibly other ranks.
The tank is being denied for now. If exiting while it's moving it continues moving forward with nobody in it. It also doesn't seem like a big enough addition for a single vehicle and it's 100MB. We may consider it in the future.
